Congratulations!!!

Congratulations goes out to my sister, Kathy, and my new brother-in-law, Eric!!! They were married on Saturday, June 20, 2009 in Belleville, IL. What a weekend it was!! We started on Thursday night before the wedding for the wedding rehearsal, and we ate a fantastic restaurant called The Back Porch. While it was extremely hot eating at a restaurant that is pretty much a back porch with screened in windows, it was a wonderful evening. On Friday we just hung out as a family and relaxed before the wedding the next morning that my sisters and I had to be up to get our hair done at 8:00AM. However, my sisters and I were awake probably until 12:30 or 1:00AM. Saturday it was great getting our hair done, then going to the wedding for some pictures before the I DO's. Then it was off to Columbia, IL to the reception at the Falls. The Falls was a great place to hold a reception! The buffet was great, but it didn't come soon enough since my nerves were high giving the maid of honor speech, and everyone in the room had tears in their eyes from the wonderful words I spoke to Kathy and Eric about. I wish them all of the best for their future lives together! On Sunday we went to mom and dads to open wedding gifts and celebrate Father's Day with a barbecue. It was nice that my grandma was able to stay the whole weekend with us and see the gifts being opened as well. I can't wait to spend more time with my grandma at the end of July in the cabins in the woods in Wisconsin!
